Curry - A friend raised in Mississippi suggested I write a song about an outlaw, Kid Curry, who roamed the hills of Wyoming with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid's Wild Bunch gang during the late 19th/early 20th centuries. I did. This Restrung-Resung-Remixed-Remastered is another CinemaScope song that conjures up the western landscapes, with the rider disappearing into the haze of the heat.
lyrics
Curry
J Shogren 2012
Curry, they wanna skin you
You never did nothing to them
Priced out your head
Because they can
They found me, I found you
I did it as a friend
And the pay’s way better than hanging
Tell me, tell me you’ve been dreaming
Dreaming of a shady tree
Tell me there’s peace in sleeping
And sleep will come to me
Curry, remember when you bought me
That dress down in Mexico
I looked like a blood red angel
You found her, I found you
Yes I’m sure she’s just a friend
As the blood runs through me eyes again
Tell me, tell me you’ve been dreaming
Dreaming of a shady tree
Tell me there’s peace in sleeping
And sleep will come to me
