Hello again friends

We’re back with the 2nd Restrung-Resung-Remixed-Remastered: Me and Genghis Khan & Big Blue Bird of Happiness. Originally recorded and mixed at the Thunderground Sound Studio by Dan Tinker in Laramie (WY), we dug in and revisited these two favorite songs over the last year. Again, these two new remixes are closer to what I now see and hear in my mind after performing them for nearly two decades. I re-sang both songs, added some harmonies, and added a few guitars and musical noises here and there to lift up the music. Me and Genghis Khan is one of those “it’s complicated” love song that many people really seem to love, and I always look forward to singing it, either slow, fast, polka, swing, metal—it is just one of those songs holds up regardless of the arrangement. Big Blue Bird of Happiness is another complicated love song that I always love to play because it just reminds me why you love your children no matter what. “Love is simple, to quote a phrase”…yeah, I guess—it is simple and complicated.
